The live-action adaptation of One Piece has stormed into the top 10 on Netflix’s most-watched series list. The series achieved a staggering 18.5 million views within its first four days since Netflix released it on August 31.

According to Netflix’s Tudum website, viewers collectively spent 140.1 million hours watching “One Piece” during the same period in the English-language TV series category.

This adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s popular manga also claimed the number one spot in 46 countries and secured a spot in the top 10 in 93 countries after just four days of streaming.

This achievement outshines the performance of two other Netflix original series, “Wednesday” and the fourth season of “Stranger Things.” Both of these series topped the charts in 83 countries upon their weekend debuts.

One Piece Dominates the Rankings

One Piece not only reached the summit but also conquered it. In the same category, “Who is Erin Carter?” secured the runner-up position, garnering 15.8 million views with a total viewing time of 90.3 million from August 28 to September 3, 2023.

Taking the third position was “Live to 100: Secrets of the Blue Zones,” which viewers watched 5.7 million times with a viewing time of 15.2 million hours.

In the English-language film category, “You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah” seized the top spot. The film was viewed 21.9 million times with a total viewing time of 37.9 million hours.

Second place went to The Monkey King, which viewers watched 6.6 million times, totaling 10.6 million hours of viewing. Following closely in third place was “Heart of Stone,” which was watched by 6.5 million viewers, totaling 13.7 million hours of viewing.

One Piece: The Live-Action Adaptation

Steven Maeda and Matt Owens helmed “One Piece,” the live-action series, with Maeda serving as the showrunner. Eiichiro Oda, the original manga creator, actively participated as an executive producer.

The live-action adaptation features a core cast of five actors: Monkey D. Luffy portrayed by IƱaki Godoy, Roronoa Zoro by Mackenyu, Nami by Emily Rudd, Usopp by Jacob Romero Gibson, and Sanji by Taz Skylar.

“One Piece” became available for streaming on Netflix starting August 31, 2023, and quickly established itself as one of the most-watched series globally, solidifying the enduring popularity of Oda’s iconic creation.
